Puuush, push, push,
Phew out through the door,
A bouncing baby from the red sea,
Red wine flowing like water in a waterfall,
With a twinkle of an eye, mum is out of breathe,
Doctors, nurses, midwives parading around mum,
Who stretches, gasps the air for the last time,
And finally, the end of life.
Dad nowhere to be seen,
The orphan happy, chuckling and excited,
To see the new world with the closed eyes,
Ngeeee’ ingeeeee, it struggles to attract everyone’s attention,
Mum in the dead world and dad nowhere to be seen,
Never knowing the sweetness of mum’s breast,
The orphan sucks from a plastic bottle.
Ooh, poor orphan,
I wish you knew what awaits you,
Without mum and dad’s love,
Your identity is just ‘The orphan’,
Your home is the orphanage,
But there is still hope,
Hope to live, on the hands of a Good Samaritan.
